The International Eskrido Institute (IEI) is the CDPWF Headquarters and is located right next to the residence of Supreme Grandmaster Cacoy Cañete in Cebu City, Philippines, the original training area of Doce Pares, as seen in the 1982 British Documentary “Way of the Warrior”.
Courses offered at the IEI are designed to specifically fit the needs of the student, therefore enhancing the fighting skills perfect for his level.
The name CEMUSA was originally the name of the group formed by SGM Cacoy in the 1950’s when challenges from other Eskrima groups were popular. CEMUSA or Cebu Mutual Security Association was composed of Doce Pares practitioners who were trained under the watchful eyes of SGM Cacoy. They were known as the defenders of Doce Pares…the Elite. Most of them were well-rounded Martial Artists loyal to Doce Pares.
At the present time, CEMUSA has been revived, but, this time, made into a training program. This program or the Combat-Effective Measures Undermining Street Agression Program is a crash course for everyone, especially for beginners or students who doesnt have any background in the Filipno Martial Arts, formulated to enable ordinary individuals to defend themseleves from common street attacks.
This 16-day 24-hour program is being offered by the Cacoy Doce Pares HQ thrice a year.
This program teaches the details of the entire Cacoy Doce Pares curriculum. Broken down in different segments for better learning and understanding of the art of Doce Pares Eskrima. This program is a requirement for those who want official ranking from the Federation and become Certified Cacoy Doce Pares Instructors.
Classes for this year-round program are held thrice a week. Special Private Classes are also available.
